The Study of Family History

Where to Find Help

More and more people are studying their family history. Here are some places you can visit in person for help. The examples are geared for the Minneapolis area but many areas will have some of the same resources. And whatever you do, don't overlook your relatives as a prime information source.

A local city library such as the Minneapolis public library and it's branches.
A county library such as the Hennipin County Library and it's branches.
A state historical society such as the Minnesota Historical Society in St. Paul.
A genealogical society such as the Minnesota Geneaoly Society located in Golden Valley.
A local branch of the LDS such as the one located in Crystal.
